1. Cardiff National Cross Challenge

On Saturday, a collection of UBACCCers set out for Cardiff to compete in the first Gwent League of the season.

First to race was our U20 women, where we had excellent performances from Lizzie Narbett who came 13th and Liv Wise, 17th, in a very speedy, high standard field.

The biggest UBACCC turn out was in the Senior Men’s, with fierce competition between colonels old and new to achieve Gwent Glory in a heavily stacked field. Our, ex Captain, David Corkey, put in a big shift to bring the team home in 36th, followed by Alex Stewart who came 47th, Nathan Morris who came 92nd, Felix Wright who came 167th and Tom Sobey who came 219th.

The obligatory post-race pint was enjoyed back in Bristol to finish off an all round excellent start to the cross-country season!
