Sam Rodda (2018-2021)

Sam is one of our many alumni who still trains with the University Endurance squad. Despite being injury riven since his u17 years (Sam ran 8:42.40 for 3000m as a 16 year old) Sam managed to sustain a largely injury free 1st year at University improving his 5000m to 15:18 when he was a fresher and placing 4th in the UK u20 Championship over 5000m in 2019. He also placed 38th in the English National u20 Cross Country Championships in 2019 and 87th in his first BUCS Cross Country Championships in 2019. Unfortunately, Sam’s 2nd and 3rd years at the University were severely hampered by injuries but now is managing to tie consistent training together again placing 145th at the English National Senior Cross Country Championships in 2022 and running a 15:26 road 5K PB in April 2022.
