4. BUCS Cross Country 2023

It all started early Saturday morning when @meganhafdingle , @1______felix______1 and some reluctant helpers courageously dragged the all-mighty gazebo across the triangle and up to the gym to meet the bus. Meanwhile, winner of the weekend’s silliest fresh, @jamiebarrington_ failed to wake up to his alarm, resulting in a collection from Park Street.



Once we made it across the border to Pembrey, we applied our war paint and got ready for battle against 73 other UK universities. First up were the Women’s B team who overall placed an incredible 21st. Next were the Men’s B team, they placed an unbelievable 15th!! Next up were the Women’s A team, placing a fantastic 20th overall. Finally, was the Men’s A team who also placed a incredible 21st overall. Also, a big congrats to winner of the Men’s A race and honorary UBACCC member Mahamed Mahamed, who spent the day sat in the ubaccc tent being interrogated by @rohanbrookss and confused for his younger brother by @ben_____davies who continued to win weekends biggest embarrassment.



After a day of racing and cheering as loud as humanly possible, we headed to Swansea for the night out. We started the evening shenanigans at Las Iguanas for a surprisingly civil meal and cocktails before getting the bus to Swansea’s SU where we played pool, (@1______felix______1 wants me to tell you that he potted 4 balls in a row to win the game), scored free drinks thanks to @_henryfs_ and danced the early night away before heading back to Swansea to go clubbing. Again, thanks to @_henryfs_ we managed to fast track the que into the club which made him a very attractive bad boy for our very own @meganhafdingle , where we danced the rest of the night into the early hours of the morning. It ended up being an almost 24hr day for most of us and in the morning we devoured a well needed full English and headed home. The biggest well done to everyone who raced at the weekend and everyone who came to watch and help out.
